To encourage and promote Fluid Power Society (FPS) Mechanic and Technician Certifications, the Fluid Power Certification Board (FPCB) makes available "loaner" Job Performance Test Kits on a one-time-only basis to: 
1. Private companies and/or training facilities,
2. Non-profit associations and/or education institutions, and
3. IFPS Accredited Instructors and/or Job Performance Test Proctors. 

These kits serve as a temporary courtesy for those promoting IFPS Certification to "test the market" and gain some experience without a large initial investment in the required hardware.  Purchase of the Job Performance Test Kit would then be required for any future testing. 

The following policy will govern the use of "loaner" kits: 

1.   Kits must be reserved at least one month in advance with the IFPS Certification Coordinator. 

2.   Kits are available on a first come, first served basis. 

3.   A $200.00 deposit is required by the borrower which will be refunded upon return of the kit in “as received” condition.  The borrower is also responsible for return shipping and handling charges. 

4.   If the kit is not returned in "as received" condition, the borrower will forfeit the $200.00 deposit and be assessed a penalty charge of $50.00 plus the cost of missing or broken parts (see attached list).  If the penalty charge is not paid, test results will not be disclosed, and future IFPS testing will be denied until satisfied. 

5.   Kits must be returned by the second business day following the test. 

6.   If the kit is not returned promptly, the borrower will be assessed a penalty charge of $10.00 per day beginning one week from the event.  If the penalty charge is not paid, test results will not be disclosed, and future IFPS testing will be denied until satisfied. 

7.   Kits are offered at no charge if the entity conducting the test is a non-profit association or educational institution such as a vocational school or technical institute.  One-time loan and penalty charges apply.
