Technical Presentation: CANLink

A smarter system! CANLink's pre-engineered, microprocessor based modules allow system controllers, sensors and actuators to intelligently communicate with each other at very high speeds (250kb/sec) through a single twisted pair of wires. CANLink components are customized to match specific machine operation and control needs, providing maximum equipment performance, as well as efficiency, economy and enhanced safety.

Central Control Module (CCM): This module's software coordinates the entire CANLink system by receiving, dispatching and monitoring system communications. A single twisted pair of wires links the customized CCM to HED's Display, Control or Interface Modules.

Operator Display Module: "Real Time" performance and control reports provide critical information to the equipment operator. Single or multiple units can be configured as interactive control stations, or passive, informational displays.

Input/Output Module (IOM): This module is the primary interface between the network and the machine.

Input Control Module (ICM):  This module is used where extremely high Inputs counts are required and augments the IOM.

Multiplexed CANLink system modules use a propriety protocol designed to also communicate with SAE J1939 protocols. HED will customize a communication system for other SAE protocols. CANLink Control Modules can accurately monitor valves, switches and control system components to ensure operational performance. Customized Input, Output, Display and Interface Information is processed to match machine operation and control needs. Conforming data is reported to the main controller.CANLink
