- NOTES FROM THE PRESIDENT -

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks and appreciation to the previous officers on their superb job in leading the chapter for the last two years. They served the chapter well and showed extreme dedication and professionalism in their work. Personally, I enjoyed the last year and I would like to keep it that way.

We have plans and ideas for a lot of projects and we are looking for more. With your input and participation we are hoping of a year full of activities and excitement. Projects like the chapter newsletter that would reach a large audience in Oklahoma who are interested in the fluid power and motion control technology, sponsoring trade shows, certification reviews training, educational seminar, scholarships for students pursuing an

education in the fluid power field, and more.

We are looking forward to the upcoming meeting at Charles Machine Works, Inc.  (Ditch Witch) in Perry on Tuesday March 20th. Please, make an effort to participate and meet others who share the same interest, and make sure you bring a friend.

As Larry Biddle always said: "What you get out of this chapter is up to you, and what you put into it is most likely what you will get out of it". So let us strive to make the best out of this, and let us take this chapter to the next level.

- Newsletter Ad Notice-

This is a repeat of the information printed in the last newsletter

concerning the possibilities of ads placed in our newsletter to

generate funds for our chapters goals and objectives. Steve Earl

our past Treasurer has volunteered to chair the committee to

handle this task. Again listed are a few ideas on generating

scholarship funds. Consider serving on this committee at the

March meeting.

1)        Newsletter Employment Advertisements

I was approached by an organization inquiring about the

prospects of listing employment opportunities in our

newsletter for a fee.   I have contacted several other

organizations about this opportunity with positive results.

2)        Newsletter Business Advertisements

The opportunity for businesses to advertise their company,

products, services, training classes, educational

literature, etc.

3)        Newsletter Salesman Numbers

List local and region salesmen numbers, e-mail addresses,

business card, etc.

This is a great opportunity to establish a scholarship fund for

developing local talent with newsletter generated income.
