In
Munich,
Germany, 1949, Karl Heilmeier, an engineer, and Wilhelm Weinlein, a
merchant, founded "Heilmeier und Weinlein, Fabrik für Oelhydraulik GmbH &
Co. KG". Their objective was to create specialized hydraulic solutions for
industrial and mobile motion control problems. Their material of choice:
Steel.
Since then more than 50 years have passed. The little factory, better
known under the brand name "HAWE Hydraulik"
(after the initials of the founders -H&W-pronounced in the German
alphabet "Ha" and "Vey") has become one of the leading hydraulic
manufacturers in Europe. With our broad distribution network we can be very responsive to the
ever changing requirements of the international market. It consists of our
German sales office and subsidiaries in
Italy, France, Spain, Finland,
Switzerland, China and North America.
Additionally HAWE products are distributed worldwide through more then 25
independent, competent distribution partners. This is a major factor for
the success of our overseas activities - particularly in Asia. |

Sheffer Corporation began in 1952 with a
commitment to innovation and the goal of becoming a world-leading
supplier of cylinders by customers exactly what they wanted. Today our
goal is to build on previous successes, continuing to give customers
exactly what they want in an age of mass homogenization and relying
greatly on our strong relationships with our loyal distributors. Why?
Because Sheffer believes one-size-fits-all
rarely fits anyone. That a tool designed for a job does that job better,
longer, and more reliably than a tool that is not designed for that
particular job. That personal relationships are critical to our success.
And that it is simply a better way to do business. |
