These guidelines have been prepared by the Fluid Power Certification Board to provide uniform guidelines for fluid power certification professionals.
All IFPS certified individuals should exhibit high standards of competence, honesty, and impartiality; be fair and equitable; and accept a personal responsibility for adherence to applicable laws, the protection of the public health, and maintenance of safety in their professional actions and behavior. These principles govern professional conduct in serving the interests of the public, clients, employers, colleagues, and the profession. Honesty, integrity, loyalty, fairness, impartiality, candor, fidelity to trust, and inviolability of confidence are incumbent upon every certified individual as professional obligations. Each certified individual shall be guided by high standards of business ethics, personal honor, and professional conduct.
