We are just over a week away from the next chapter meeting and tour which will be hosted by Gulf Controls located in Tampa.
Gulf Controls Company, LLC is a factory-authorized distributor of pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-mechanical motion control products by the world's top manufacturers. Serving Florida, Southeast Georgia and Puerto Rico from its headquarters in Tampa, the company stocks more than 12,000 different items for immediate shipment.
Scott Gower, Chapter president, has arranged an educational behind the scenes tour. The highlights of the tour will be meeting with team members from Gulf Controls, a newly set up bulk hose assembly production area and the dedicated custom build hydraulic power pack assembly facility.
We have already had a lot of interest in attending this event and there are just a few places left. It is not too late to register if you want to attend. Please contact Scott Gower firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, September 9th if you are planning to attend the Gulf Controls meeting and tour.
The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. and finish around 8:30 p.m. Sandwiches and refreshments will be served before the tour begins.
Safety Tip of the Month
OSHA's recommendations to protect your eyes and face on the job.
Safety glasses or face shields are worn any time work operations can cause foreign objects to get in the eye. For example, during welding, cutting, grinding, nailing (or when working with concrete and/or harmful chemicals or when exposed to flying particles). Wear when exposed to any electrical hazards, including working on energized electrical systems.
Eye and face protectors - select based on anticipated hazards.
