Meeting Focus: For fluid power professionals, to gather, network, swap experiences, as well as listen to guest speakers who share new technologies in the industry or reinforce our existing knowledge.

1. Host Reception:

6:20 - 6:30 PM - Meet and Greet in Lobby

6:30 PM Prompt - Tour SVO Plant

6:45 PM - Aerial Demo

7:00 PM - ARFF Demo

7:20 PM - Food and refreshments.

3. Previous Business
A) Chapter Business
i. Gary Borgman, PIRTEK USA, will get with LRM Industries to get their company logo to add to the Chapter newsletter.
B) Financial
i. Scott to start soliciting IFPS for $2000 to match the Chapters donations to FIRST.
ii. Scott requested the formation of a Budget Committee. Volunteers were Dan Franks, Gwyn O'Kane, Ryan Remmers, and Richard Evans.
iii. Discussion was conducted about increasing membership by creating a free membership.
C) Training/Certification
i. Scott Gower and Ryan Remmers acted on behalf of Greg George and it was determined that more people would be needed for the JP test on September 12th, 13th and 14th.
D) Membership and the Florida 49er
i. Scott Gower led the discussion about starting a new Chapter. The question was "How do we start a new Chapter." It was suggested that a start up kit could be provided with the necessary information.
ii. Scott went back to the original question at the start of the meeting,"What makes coming to the meetings fun, worth your time." The responses were:

1) That it is a good way to get to know people in the Fluid Power industry.

2) The educational tours conducted.

3) Involvement with FIRST.

4) The professional involvement and dealing with the community. Fluid Power education.

iii. Ryan Remmers suggested that the Chapter could help the Southern Florida Chapter get started and use what it as a test bed and learn from the experience to create a start up kit.
iv. Richard Evans, PIRTEK USA, suggested that we mentor another Chapter, which other people could "Web In" to our meeting and learns from us.
E) Open Discussion
i. Parliamentary Procedures, Roberts Rules, would be discussed at the next meeting.
ii. Ryan Remmers informed us that the 4H had contacted him and asked if anyone was interested in being on the 4H Board for Orange County.
iii. Dan Franks suggested that this request should be in the next newsletter for all the Chapter members to see.
