IFPS President Bob Yund has a message for visitors to the WEB site.

This is an especially exciting time for the International Fluid Power Society.
In addition to its development of a new Electronic Controls Specialist Certification (CFPES), plans are underway to develop a Mechatronics Certification for industrial automation mechanics and technicians.

The International Fluid Power Society is the Organization for Fluid Power and Related Motion Control Professionals. It has Chapters in major cities and has Student Chapters in leading Fluid Power Educational Institutions. The Society's services include Education, Certification and Professionalism for Fluid Power and Motion Control Professionals.

Mission Statement: The International Fluid Power Society will facilitate and promote the advancement of technology and professionalism of the Fluid Power & Motion Control Industry through Awareness, Education and Certification.

How do your answers on Certification tests stack up?  You can now find out.  At no additional charge, Core Competency Reports are now being mailed to individuals who take a Fluid Power Society written test.  The report gives a breakdown of an individual's test results, including both the raw score and the percentage of questions right within each subtest and is accompanied with information indicating which questions correspond to each subtest.

The Core Competency Report will:

  • Help individuals who don't pass their certification test identify which areas of subtests they will need to improve before they retake the test.
  • Help individuals who do pass their certifications test identify which areas they may want to improve for their own professional satisfaction.
